There are a lot of things which could have been released and has nothing too do with the physics Scawen is working on. I still dont get the point why its not out but its maybe just me.

Flash 10.??? version. Try as well the graphic drivers due to what I have said above. With wprking GPU accelaration you get max like 5 percentage CPU usage.

I use Opera here 11.00 build 1156 and all flash videos works like a charm. Have 15/1.5 Mbit net.

Whats exactly the flash version you use?
Try also some new graphic drivers because its some month graphic cards accelarate video from youtube/flash.

Orion I think the management of this project has some failed. In every work/job/project you need to do some decent management otherwise the things go wrong. It seems LFS is nice picture of failining in many areas lately and management seems to be a big issue. I do work as a Project manager, managing people all the time and if you dont plan or manage properly always something go out of your hands.

Maybe there have a lot of in their pocket but with the feedback or reports its hard to bealive anymore.

They should have decide about things a years ago and now might be late....

if somebody want to they can hack now. I dont think editor would make things much easier and who said an editor would have to be provided. Maybe there is easy way for scawen to write convertor which would convert the models from 3D programs to native LFS format. Dunno...just speculating.

With the physics I agree but only partially. We have real cars already and they dont handle as they should probably. How it can be different for Raceabout and Scirocco with currneth physics. The nature law are always the same...

I did not said to hire people. I bet there a a lot poeple in the comunity who can provide high level of support for free. As I said before the more complex LFS getting the more time the things taking to develop/update....3 people are simply not enough anymore to keep the speed of the progress as was in past.

The lack of any feedback from Eric is not helping either. Its deplorable...

to sjava: comunity was trying to bring content to LFS. They arranged on their own a lot of things yet it was refused by devs. What I can say here...

I bet a lot of people could help making LFS better, speed up things.

The car model quality just to judge from video looks really good, even better then Scirocco. It looks to me comunity could provide nice help with providing content. It does not have to be real cars but there is apparently potential within the community.

I never understand why devs did not open a possibility to have the car content created outside the dev team( it would did not take their resources a lot) and it would be devs who would allow after passing their quaility crateria and integrate. Could be the same with tracks.


So much nice potential lost from comunity....what areal shame :-(.

I really dont know what to tell on latest post from Scawen. Its almost the same but just re-written in different way plus a bit inside story. Its empy post for me.

The next update with content might be big disappoitment for a lot of people in the comunity because I dont see anything else being worked on then Rockingham and Scirocco. In past it was not a problem to release few pictures what is happening and I bet people were looking foward for next update but now they must feel more like - is there really anything happening?This loooking now to me most like hiding there is nothing more then Rockingham and Scirocco (*speculation*).

Its a shame Scavier are refusing help from comunity to make the game more interesting. I dont mind I leak this now because its quite years back but we could have another official car already in LFS. It was one of the European carmaker and it could be practically for free of use but they refused it.

My personal feeling but I feel more and more disconnection between Scavier and the community when I compare the first years of development.

I feel like Scavier are very happy with themself what they achived and dont mind people here anymore almost and I repeat myself again but I hate speaking like that about LFS and devs because this is the "game" I played the longest time in my life and still check around after years hoping something might moved forward but I am getting being disappoitment.

well what I am afraid this simulator/game (depends how you see it) has failed in few things and yes I will create some short list where in my opinion things went wrong:. The list could be really long...

- frequency of reports updates is getting lower and lower
- content update missing
- at some point it seems this "product" has grown overs devs heads and they lost the point to hire some people to get it moving forward in the still same speed.(Some people can flame me or laugh at me but Mark Zuckerberg the founder of Facebook got it right...he stilll lead the ideas how facebook should move forward/be updated/still interesting for people but he realized out early enough he cant do all himself with his "friends").

The more complex LFS will be the more time Scawen will have to spend on it and I dont bealive he is able to keep the speed of progress anymore due to this and it will be worse and worse the LFS will be bigger. I am not happy to say it but it seems devs lost a bit of the part where they have been able to reflex themself and get moving things nicely forward. Thats how I really see it.

I dont understand why some people can not admit things in LFS are not going so well anymore. These threads would be not so long if there would be updates and we would get new things - its a simple fact. People would rather reports bugs and would be interested in racing then spending time here.

Its better to be positive like Xnuse said and I do this in my personal life as well but at some point you can not stay positive forever about something which is not going well. Simple fact.

The devs are not gods, they are the same people like you or me but to me it really looks they failed at some things and it does not look to me anymore they are able to admit it themself.

Not happy myself being negative about LFS and devs but there is a little things about to be possitive on the other hand.

And last thing, please stop people calling moaners. Should we not be nice to each other here and listen to each other rather because this is also why so many people came here to find what LFS is about because of the great and nice comunity LFS has (I wanted to used past sentence but I still bealive this is great comunity). Everyone can bring here their opinions because each of you have your own angle of view and personal preferences. So its not bad to be both positive or negative unless you start insulting each other. If you say something good about LFS its nice support for devs and indication this is probably we did good with LFS, if its bad comment then its also good because it is something for devs to start thinking about it "did we really make it wrong or not".

there is a lot of things "wrong" with this game and if I wanted to be constructive it would be very long list to mention....

I have been in the game from start when it showed online and things were going clearly much better then nowdays and it seems devs are not able to get things out. From quick development and a bit technically outdated game it got to the stage when at some points its far,far behind the market.

I know its not mass market game but still. All nowdays is about content as well....you dont provide, the game is lost in dust. How many times we heard new track(s), car on the horizont and nothing happend. I remember clearly when Scawen said when most of the graphic cards will be DX9 the game will move to more advance 3D engine. Well most of them are nowdays DX10 at least and what happend. Nothing.

I was supportive many times from very early start and tried to continued many years, I had the faith in this game and my big respect(this word is not enough to explain) but somehow all this is gone because lack of REAL progress with this game.

Apparently in my view Scawen is not giving himself any real deadlines and if you dont make yourself tight deadlines the things will always slip to nowhere. My experience from business.

Its just I am frustrated how great title LFS was and where it got...

This is getting boring, not moving forward as it should be, the speed of progress is getting slower and slower. I almost lost the interest not because I would be interested in other games or had something else to do but nothing is happening serioulsy with this game. I just still remeber the old days and have still some trust but soon it might get lost and me even not recomnding this game to anyone and anymore like I was doing days back...

The game is technicanlly getting outdated more and more. New content missing.

Even with best signal the latencies of current networks simply sucks. Thats why I would like to have someone from Sweden or Norway to confirm if the LTE is really that much improvement they claimed.

3G is pretty decent in some places with the speed.

With LTE aka 4G they promise finally really low latencies and donwload speed up to 80Mbit(theoretical limit is 100Mb/s) First network started in Sweden and Norway as far as I know so maybe someone could confirm?

Otherwise every other type of Mobile connection sucks for gaming.
